Review: Samuel Smith’s Oatmeal Stout (Bottle)
Samuel Smith doesn’t make too many super creative, bold, or innovative beers. Instead they specialize in taking classic English ale styles and executing them to perfection. Their oatmeal stout is another example of just that: simple but really phenomenal. Rather sweet with tons of oats, milk cream, and a nice almond nuttiness, the beer throws in some semi-sweet chocolate malts for a great balance and aftertaste.
