Review: Great Lakes Eliot Ness (Bottle)
By Niko I (FF)
Picked this amber lager up to serve as a nice session brew for a long night of drinking. I have to say compared to the amazing “lighter” ales Great Lakes makes such as Dortmunder Gold lager and Burning River pale ale, this one is a little disappointing. There’s really just not enough flavor here: there’s a pale malt character that makes for a very white doughy bread like backbone. There’s also some corn and toastiness. Overall, it’s just too simple.
Score = 6/10
